This 1950 Chevrolet Pickup (says both 1940 and 1950 International in the ad?) has a great look! Classic rat rod styling with a touch of modern performance thanks to the monster engine and aftermarket wheels and tires. If you want to tear up the streets in this truck, it can be found for sale here on eBay with a current bid of $10,000! Located in Benton, Arkansas, the truck looks like a blast to drive. Let’s check out the details!
Like me, you’ve probably seen license plates and road signs used on plenty of rat rod interiors before. But, I don’t remember seeing them all be the same color or state? it makes for an interesting treatment that is different enough to stand out from the crowd. Looks like they are all sequential, so they must have been a discontinued design or picked up at an auction? I also like the dash covered in stickers. It almost gives it a rock-n-roll theme. You have to love the locking pliers used as a door handle and the motorcycle tank console too.
The engine is a fully forged 383 cubic inch Chevrolet with aluminum heads. It is topped by a 1071 blower and probably sounds nasty with those open headers! Some purists will scoff at the big modern 5-spoke wheels and directional rubber, but they don’t look bad to me. It’s certainly an easy swap if the new owner wants to give it a rattier or more traditional look. The truck rides on air and looks like a barrel of fun. What do you think?
