This 1939 Chevrolet pickup is a really cool hot rod/rat rod and can be found for sale here on eBay with a requested opening bid of $13,000. Located in Effingham, South Carolina, this truck is ready to rip up some pavement this summer! Check it out and let me know what you think of this awesome ride.
The engine is a center-bolt 350 cubic inch small block Chevy circa the early 90s. It features one-off headers that have the option to run out the side or be capped off and run to the rear of the truck. Power runs through a turbo 400 transmission to a 10-bolt rear end with 3.42 gears.
The interior is mostly custom and features some pretty unique items. The shifter is certainly unique, it looks like it may be a double-barreled shotgun? The dash features paint streaks that tie in the patina of the outside and the steering wheel is a 70s style chain unit. The bomber seats look great and the blue and white blanket tie everything together well. The seller says: “…speedo(trans is electronic, Speedo is mechanical, so it doesn’t work at the moment), Oil, volts, water, and fuel gauges all work.”
The wheels are from American Racing and feature “cheater” slicks on the rear. The suspension features airbags in the rear with disc brakes all around. Overall, this truck looks like a great driver but the new owner still has some projects they could do if they choose. What do you think of this truck? Let us know.
