How crazy is this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Wagon? This awesome car was built in 2014 by Chris Walker from ITW Hot Rods…ITW? In The Weeds! The car was purchased from ITW by Rick Newberry and has been featured in several spots over the past few years. The car features a ton of innovative features including that outrageous air scoop/cleaner made from one of the front fenders!
You can see the passenger compartment has been narrowed into a triangle shape. The dash has been shortened. You have to love the cowhide seat covers! The clear trans tunnel is an interesting choice. Hopefully, it’s made of some very tough plastic!
The coolest part of this car is the fact that every panel has been chopped, shaped, and re-welded. With all that work, it still looks like a ’57 Chevy! Not too many cars can be modified this much and still retain the unmistakable look of the original car.
