The 2019 classic car auction season is winding down, but there are still some great sales coming up. One of the premier fall auctions is Barrett-Jackson, Las Vegas which is being held October 3rd through the 5th. While a lot of the cars for the Vegas docket are shiny and high-dollar, patina trucks are still in full force. The truck pictured here is a 1950 Chevrolet 5-window and it is Lot#120. The truck had a frame-off restoration in 2016 and features a fauxtina paint job! The chassis is a modern S-10 with 4-link rear suspension. The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8 with the typical go-fast goodies. Other upgrades include power steering, disc brakes, new wiring, and new interior.
Lot#112 is a 1972 Chevrolet pickup that was also a frame-off restoration. The only auction information states it has a 350 cubic inch V8 with an automatic transmission. You can tell the paint is likely new with the fauxtina treatment. Wheels are 20″+ with low-profile tires. Probably a fun truck to cruise.
Lot#320 is a 1970 GMC C1500 long-bed and features a numbers matching 350 with a 3-on-the-tree manual transmission. The original paint and patina has been clear coated. The truck also has power steering and brakes along with a lowered suspension and rear coil spring kit. It definitely has a farm truck vibe and will probably be a fun ride for the new owner.
Lot#178 is a 1966 Dodge D-100. Unlike the other trucks above, it features a slant-6 engine with automatic transmission. It also has a bare metal/polished body with a gloss black roof, hood, grille, bumper, and wheels. The truck’s stance is thanks to a 4-link air-ride suspension and MOB steel wheels.
