This beautiful blue 1956 Chevrolet 210 4-door is the ultimate in worry-free driving. Not only does it have an exterior that is already imperfect, but the drive train has been updated to a very reliable set-up. It can be found for sale here on sheltonclassics.com with an asking price of $21,995. Shelton Classics is located in Mooresville, North Carolina and they usually have a stable of very shiny cars. This one is one of the few “ratty” cars they have, but I think it stands out from the crowd. What do you think?
As mentioned before, this ride features reliable power thanks to a ZZ4 Chevrolet crate engine with a 5-speed Borg-Warner transmission. The V8 is kept cool by an aluminum radiator and all the underhood accessories have been freshened up to match the engine. You can see it features power brakes along with power steering.
The interior is mostly re-done with blue and white upholstery which matches the exterior well. The material looks like tweed that was popular in the custom car industry in the 1980s. With the door panels, seats, shifter, and steering column done, it’s up to the new owner if they are going to drive it as-is or continue the restoration. Right now, the original dash looks a little out of place next to the shiny steering column and steering wheel. What do you think? Would you continue with the restoration and freshen up the rest that hasn’t been done?
The modern wheel and tire combination fit this car well and the paint has just enough original shine to make it look good against the polished wheels. Overall, this is a really cool car that anyone would be happy to drive. You may have some improvements on your list, but they could be done as you enjoyed the car.
