Submit Your Rat Rod

It doesn’t matter whether you run a professional shop or are building Rat Rods out of your shed, it’s all about being seen. In today’s world, it isn’t enough to just build something cool, you need to get your work in front of millions if you want to be noticed. As one of the largest communities specializing just in Rat Rods, we can help your skills seen. It’s your job to build killer Rat Rods and it’s our job to make sure they get noticed!

We have a large audience of passionate car nuts who are into customized cars. Some are looking for radical ideas to incorporate into their own builds, some are actively shopping to buy a turnkey Rat Rod, while others are on the hunt for a builder that matches their style. By pushing out builds via our social media channels and email list, we are able to get your work in front of our followers quick. To make sure your profile gets the views it deserves, we have a few requirements to be featured.

So, what makes the cut?

Obviously cool builds, but “cool” is subjective, so we take things into account such as the quality of your photos and if it’s a Rat Rod. It doesn’t matter if you built it in your home garage, at your business’s shop or if you had it built by someone else. All you need is good quality photos, so that means no low-resolution snapshots taken on a 10-year-old phone! If you send us quality photos of the front, rear, corners, engine bay and the interior, you will likely make the cut. Aren’t sure if your photos are high enough quality. Check out our photography guide and if you are still in doubt, email us and we can take a look. Chances are if you had a professional take the photos of it, you are good to go. While we prefer photos taken on a DSLR, the majority of phones built in the last few years can capture quality photos. Just make sure images are at least 1600 px wide. Please let us know if we need to link to your photographer or shop.

We also prefer builds that haven’t already been featured everywhere else. That doesn’t mean we won’t feature it if it has, we might just request that you send us new photos. We want to make sure our readers are excited to view your build, but if they’ve already seen the photos in magazines or on a random Pinterest page, they are less likely to want to view it again. While it’s cool to get it featured in those places, chances are they aren’t sending people directly to your website, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page. We, on the other hand, like to send our readers out to your points of contact so that they can connect with you! To make sure they engage with our posts, we need the content to be unique and worth engaging with. So, keep that in mind when composing your profile.

How to submit your Rat Rod(s)

It’s simple, just fill out the form below! The more information you provide us right now, the faster and easier things will go. You don’t need to submit all your photos right now, one will suffice. Once we’ve reviewed it, you will receive an email as to whether we want to feature it or not. If we do want to feature it, the email will include instruction on how to get us the rest of your photos. And, if we reject it, we will provide a reason why and what you need to fix to be featured.
