This awesome 1957 Chevy wagon may be coming to a location near you! It is on an epic road trip with the goal of driving through all lower 48 states. However, this isn’t just about making miles and memories in a great car, it’s about a good cause. Blake Evans is the man behind the mission…The mission to raise $100,000 for A.L.S. research. According to vimeo.com, “A.L.S. is a disease that attacks the nerves which control muscle movement. As the disease progresses, patients lose the ability to control their muscles. This leads to weakness, and eventually paralysis.” Read more about this awesome car and the road trip below.
Blake is a Physical Therapist by trade and has a passion for finding a cure for A.L.S. He was raised with a love for cars passed down by his father and is partnering with some of the biggest names in the car industry for this cause. To read more or donate, go here to sweetpatina.com. The feature that caught my eye recently on social media was the addition of the roof-top tent. It appears to have been custom painted to blend in with the patina theme of the car and trailer. Unfortunately, with the addition of the tent, the surfboard and luggage had to be moved, but I suppose pulling off the road and catching some z’s once in a while is in order for an epic road trip like this one. The trailer is a nice touch and probably holds a decent amount of road trip supplies.
